Desert's Garden

Ribbon Falls, Grand Canyon, AZ

After a long day of hiking, I decided to visit Ribbon Falls. Getting the shot meant climbing up into a small alcove with all my gear, but it was worth it — sitting near the waterfall was refreshing on such a hot day. To handle the enormous dynamic range, from the shaded alcove to the bright canyon beyond, I blended two exposures together.
