Midday Break

Lyell Fork, Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite National Park, California

Shot from the bridge over the Lyell Fork, which is the only place you get this line of sight down the meadow. The picture is not really about the granite — it is about a group taking their break in the middle of the day, which is what most of a long day on this trail actually consists of. Middle of the day, middle of the hike, nothing dramatic happening.
