Lit from Within

Mobius Arch, Alabama Hills, California

I set the tripod low under the arch, then walked around behind it with the remote and a headlamp. One pass of light along the inner curve was all the arch needed — the rest of the frame I left to the Milky Way. Light painting is easy to overdo out here; I wanted the arch to look lit by something, not by me. One of my favourite astro frames.
