Half Dome, Yosemite National Park, California

This was after the trail rather than on it. We were wandering the valley with nothing much left to do, which is a strange state to be in when you have spent weeks walking towards somewhere, and this arrangement stopped me: road, meadow, trees, Half Dome, nothing else in it. Minimal to the point of being almost graphic. I did not have to work for this one at all.
