Yosemite Falls, Yosemite National Park, California
Yosemite Falls in March, pushing through more water than the granite looks built for. I converted this one because colour was actively unhelpful — the scene is a grey cliff, white water and dark wet rock, and in colour that reads as a muddy version of itself. In monochrome it becomes a picture about shape and about the direction the water is travelling.
